Workforce - Training |
 |
Fort Worth has a variety of training programs available to staff any business with qualified personnel. On the state level, the Skill Development Fund by the Texas Workforce Commission provides for immediate workforce needs of industries that have plant locations in Texas. These programs are flexible; funds can be applied to classroom training, onsite training, remote training or other arrangements that meet a company’s needs. The Skills Development Fund has a cap of $500,000 per project.
In Fort Worth, Tarrant County College is a location for occupational training covered by the Skills Development Fund. The program enables industry to have a voice in the training of prospective employees, so each firm can include its specific needs.
Program participation costs covered include 100 percent of instructor's salaries, instructional supplies and any other related items.
